“The victory God wants to win in me is more important than the victory I want Him to win for me.”
“Heaven answers my ‘I can’t’ with a resounding ‘He did.’”
“When God speaks, His voice reveals your purpose and reassures you of His presence.”
Coming to the realization that God may place your future husband or wife in your life at this moment, does not mean that He has intended for you to begin a relationship with your significant other.
The right thing at the wrong time is still the wrong thing.

“The point of the storm isn’t to prove your faith, it’s to prove His faithfulness.”
“The Bible is a story of God as Creator, God as Master, God as Righteous Judge, God as Redeemer… God as soon-coming King.”
Tuesday’s Reflection
This weekend we kicked-off a new series called, The Expectation Gap. Pastor Steven preached an amazing and timely word on how frustration is the gap between what I expect and what I experience. This series is about allowing God to fill those gaps. We will constantly experience frustration when we continue to allow flawed humans to fill a space made to be filled by God alone.
Sunday’s message came from the Book of Luke. Pastor Steven used Mary and Martha to teach us about the source of our greatest frustrations. Martha was busy preparing a feast for Jesus and his disciples when she became frustrated with Mary who was just in her own little world, as she sat at the feet of Jesus. Our Pastor taught us five crucial points about our expectations of others…
- I cannot expect what I do not express.
- I am not authorized to negotiate anyone else’s relationship with God.
- I must resist the temptation to draft others into my dysfunction.
- The greatest source of my frustration with others is my confusion of God’s expectation of me.
- Don’t let what you expected keep you from what God wants you to experience.
The 1st & the 4th points really convicted me. I struggle with really expressing myself to people. Sometimes, even my husband. I don’t want to come off as nagging or whiny, but I almost expect him to kinda read my mind…Duh! And I wouldn’t try this at home, cause it NEVER works. As a wife, mommy, writer, publisher, the list goes on; I sometimes get so caught up in making sure everyone is happy and satisfied that I end up frustrated when I feel I haven’t met someone’s expectation of me instead of worrying about what God expects of me.
You can watch this message online or on podcast.
This word came at the right time. What is the greatest source of your frustration? How do you respond?

Just like Esther, Nehemiah had a season of “waiting.” He spoke to the king, but not until four months after he heard of the broken wall. He had to wait for the season when he could move. He prepared by fasting and praying for four months enabling him to see what God wanted him to do. How are you using your “waiting” season? #prayer #fasting #trust #courage #favor #leadership #biblestudy #day2 #shereadstruth #nehemiah #vision #waiting
